More than 30 Chinese pistache trees were planted at Altisima Park to replace decaying liquidambar trees. This project is part of SAMLARC's commitment to maintaining safe and beautiful community spaces - keep an eye out this fall for beautiful crimson foliage! SAMLARC's professional arborists keep a close eye on the tree population for signs of overgrowth and disease. If a tree must be removed, the project is timed to avoid nesting birds - and if possible, to replant the area with a new tree! The Chinese pistache trees are expected to fare well in Rancho Santa Margarita's climate and will become part of SAMLARC's long-term landscape maintenance regimen.
