SAMLARC families journeyed into Wonderland at the Mad Hatter Children’s Tea Party, held on March 23rd. The Beach Club was transformed into a whimsical fairyland with hanging lanterns, life-sized Alice, Mad Hatter, and Queen of Hearts props, and fanciful tablescapes.
Each Tea Party guest was greeted by Alice and the Mad Hatter at the photo stop, then seated at colorful tables where they could decorate teacups of their very own. The attendees tucked into treats such as scones, pigs in a blanket, cupcakes, and more. The festivities began with a party classic: Mad Hatter Bingo! Guests were then treated to a ballet performance inspired by Alice in Wonderland’s favorite characters.
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed dancing and taking photos with Alice and the Mad Hatter, as well as creating goodies at each activity station. Guests painted mini masterpieces on canvases provided by Pinot’s Palette of RSM, decorated miniature pots for tiny wildflower gardens, bedecked themselves with temporary tattoos, and created beautiful bracelets at the jewelry station.
Children were invited to dress their storybook best. Several princesses were spotted among the Tea Party guests, as well as a young Cheshire Cat and several debonair gentlemen. Alice thought the winner of the costume contest had excellent fashion taste! Guess also enjoyed a wide variety of games, including a limbo line, hula hoop contest, and special edition of Alice Says.
Special thanks to Dance Works, OC for their beautiful ballet performance, as well as DJ Eric for their musical entertainment and Entertaining Concepts for the scrumptious brunch!
