Project Updates

The specific and primary purpose of SAMLARC is to provide community services and facilities for the benefit of homeowners within the community and preserve the value, desirability, and attractiveness of all properties within SAMLARC.
 

To support this purpose, SAMLARC conducts projects throughout the year to protect the longevity, safety, and aesthetics of the community's assets. To view a list of scheduled facility closures, click the green button.

Defensible Space Project - San Gabriel & La Purisima

October 11, 2021 - October 18, 2021

Locations: Wildland slopes behind San Gabriel, La Purisima, and Santa Margarita Parkway

Professional service providers will be conducting Defensible Space work along the landscaped slopes adjacent to the homes along San Gabrial, La Purisima, and Santa Margarita Parkway. This work is necessary to comply with the Orange County Fire Authority's requirements related to Defensible Space. During this time, dead/dying plant material, plants that are included in the OCFA Undesirable Plant List, and groundcover exceeding 24" in hieight will be removed in order to reduce the risk of wildfire in the community.

Pool Gate & Fencing Project

October 11, 2021 - October 18, 2021

Locations: Altisima and Solana Pools

Professional service providers will be conducting replacing the wrought iron gates and conducing repairs and painting to the fencing on the perimeter work of the pools. ​This project is necessary to prolong the useful life of the facilities and ensure the gates function properly.  During the facility closures, alternate pools remain available for use.

The project will be completed in two (2) phases:

  • October 12-14 and October 19-25: Altisima (Monte Vista & Solana open)

  • October 15-18: Solana Pool (Monte Vista & Altisima open)

Beach Club Lagoon Off-Season Operations Procedure

October 18, 2021 - October 20, 2021

Locations: Beach Club Lagoon

Professional service providers will be executing the Beach Club Lagoon off-season operations procedure to prepare the Lagoon for winter closure. The Beach Club Office will remain open 7 days per week, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The facility itself (including restrooms) will remain open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. During the off-season, Lagoon will be drained, patio furniture will be wrapped, barbecues and the volleyball courts will be closed, and surrey bike and watercraft rentals will be stowed until the opening of the 2022 Summer Season. The Procedure will take place October 18-20, with the Summer 2022 season beginning in May 2022.

Community Wrought Iron Fencing Project

September 13, 2021 -

November 4, 2021

Location: Select neighborhoods within the Melinda Heights region

Professional service providers will be conducting repairs and painting work on select wrought iron fences throughout the Melinda Heights region. ​This project is necessary to prolong the useful life of the perimeter fences in these areas. 

The project will be completed in two (2) phases:

  • September 13 - October 15: Welding repairs and preparation

  • October 18 - November 4: Priming and painting

Homeowners in impacted areas have received notices of the project. To ensure the project moves smoothly, homeowners must remove any objects on top of, hanging from, or growing over the fence (including pet netting, plants, etc.)​

Arroyo Vista Pool Deck Repairs

October 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021 

Locations: Arroyo Vista Pool

SAMLARC professional service providers will be conducting resurfacing repairs to the Arroyo Vista Pool  deck to ensure that the perimeter of the pool is slip resistant and free from cracks or damage. This project protects the safety of swimmers and the longevity of the pool. During this closure, alternate pools will remain open for use.

City Melinda Median Project

September 22, 2021 -

November 19, 2021

Location: Central Park

 

The City of Rancho Santa Margarita is conducting the Melinda Median Extension Project beginning September 22 - November 19, 2021. The project removes the existing channelizers and plain concrete median, immediately south of Paseo Alegria, and replaces it with a decorative raised median. The construction is expected to be completed by November 19, 2021. Construction hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work will require one lane in each direction be closed during construction hours; some work may require longer duration closures. All driveway and street access will be available and accessible for the duration of the construction. City Splash Pad Project
