Project Updates

The specific and primary purpose of SAMLARC is to provide community services and facilities for the benefit of homeowners within the community and preserve the value, desirability, and attractiveness of all properties within SAMLARC. To support this purpose, SAMLARC conducts projects throughout the year to protect the longevity, safety, and aesthetics of the community's assets.
Parking Lot Maintenance & Seal Coating

September 8, 2020 - October 21, 2020

Locations: Altisima, Arroyo Vista, Beach Club, Lakeshore, Cielo Vista, Cañada Vista, Central Park, Monte Vista, Vista Verde Parking Lots ​

 

SAMLARC professional service providers will be conducting scheduled maintenance and repairs at nine (9) SAMLARC parking lots. These projects are necessary to maintain the longevity of the parking lots as well as enhancing the community. Individual parking lots will be closed for approximately one (1) day as the lots are serviced.

 

Schedule (barring unforeseen delays)

Phase 1 (Complete): Concrete Repairs - September 8-13, 2020

All parks will be closed starting at 7am on the date scheduled. 

  • September 8-9: Altisima & Cielo Vista lots partially closed

  • September 8-13: Arroyo Vista lot fully closed

Phase 2 (Complete): Asphalt Demolition/Grinding/Patchback/Overlay - September 21-25, 2020

All parks will be closed starting at 7am on the date scheduled. 

  • September 21-24: Altisima (fully closed)

  • September 21-25: Cielo Vista (fully closed)

  • September 22-24: Arroyo Vista (fully closed)

  • September 22-25: North Lakeshore (amphitheater) (fully closed)

 

Phase 3: Asphalt Seal Coating - October 19-21, 2020

All parks will be closed starting at 7am on the date scheduled. Residents will not have access to the parking lot for 24 hours. Parking lots are anticipated to open at 7pm the following day. 

  • October 19: Altisima, Central, Vista Verde

  • October 20: North Lakeshore, Beach Club, Monte Vista, Cielo Vista

  • October 21: Cañada Vista, Arroyo Vista

Playground Rubber Surface Project

October 12,2020 - October 23, 2020

Locations: Urban Trail East and Los Paseos Parking Lots

 

SAMLARC professional service providers will be conducting playground surface repairs at the Urban Trail East and Los Paseos Playgrounds. This project is necessary to maintain the longevity and safety of the playground surfaces.

Orange County Fire Authority Defensible Space Clearing - Camino Montana

September 21 - October 19, 2020

(anticipated) 

Locations: Camino Montana

 

SAMLARC professional service providers will be conducting clearing work to bring Camino Montana into compliance with Orange County Fire Authority Defensible Space guidelines. This includes:

  • Removal of dead and dying plant material, including dry leaves, twigs, and pine needles.

  • Removal of vegetation found on the OCFA Undesirable Plant List, and replanting using drought-tolerant, fire-resistant plants

  • Trimming or removal of plants to create the recommended spacing between plants.

During this time, the sidewalk within the work area will be closed to ensure personal safety of the crew and those walking along the residential side of Camino Montana

Replanting with is anticipated to take place in Quarter 1 of 2021.

Orange County Fire Authority Defensible Space Clearing - Arroyo Vista Street

October 19, 2020 - November 2020

(anticipated) 

Locations: Arroyo Vista Street

 

Immediately following the conclusion of the Camino Montana Defensible Space clearing work, SAMLARC professional service providers will be conducting clearing work to bring Arroyo Vista Street into compliance with Orange County Fire Authority Defensible Space guidelines. This includes:

  • Removal of dead and dying plant material, including dry leaves, twigs, and pine needles.

  • Removal of vegetation found on the OCFA Undesirable Plant List, and replanting using drought-tolerant, fire-resistant plants

  • Trimming or removal of plants to create the recommended spacing between plants.

During this time, the sidewalk within the work area will be closed to ensure personal safety of the crew and those walking along the residential side of Aroyo Vista Street. Community managers of impacted neighborhoods will be notified prior to the project.

Replanting with is anticipated to take place in Quarter 1 of 2021.
