Board Bids Farewell to President Dickson

At the January 26, 2021 Board of Directors Meeting, the Board will honor former President Robert Dickson for his service to the SAMLARC community. President Dickson served on the Board from February 2016 through December 2020 and held the title of Board President from October 2016 through his resignation. As an attentive Board Director, visionary President, and invested community member, President Dickson’s contributions have shaped SAMLARC for future years.

President Dickson’s leadership strengthened the many connections that tie SAMLARC to the broader community. As SAMLARC’s representative to the City of Rancho Santa Margarita, he met regularly with City leadership to identify common initiatives. Additionally, his involvement with the RSM Chamber of Commerce enhanced SAMLARC’s partnership with the Chamber in large-scale events such as Rancho Family Fest.

President Dickson contributed his insight and experience while serving on a wide variety of SAMLARC Committees. Through the Community Lifestyle Committee, President Dickson enhanced signature events and established events including the Screen on the Green series, Children’s Tea Parties and more. While serving on the Landscape Contract Committee, President Dickson was instrumental in prioritizing appropriate landscape services for SAMLARC’s size and age. The Board is especially grateful for President Dickson’s service to the Executive Committee Related to COVID-19, which focuses on responding to government impacts to SAMLARC’s operations during the pandemic.
