Phoslock Treatment Results

The Phoslock treatment that was applied in June 2016 successfully lowered the golden algae to virtually undetectable levels. However, after approximately 3 months the golden algae levels began to rise again. Currently the golden algae count is at a level that prevents the Lake from safely being re-stocked with fish. At the October 25, 2016 Board of Directors meeting, the Board took action to appoint a special ad-hoc committee to research and develop strategies and options for the Board to consider to address the golden algae. The Ad Hoc Committee along with Management and industry professionals will explore all treatment options with the goal of re-stocking the Lake with fish at some point in the future.
