We are excited to announce that the SAMLARC pools will be re-opening at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 13th. In order to protect public health, the State of California and County of Orange had required that community pools remain closed since mid-March. The Board of Directors understands that these government-required restrictions have impacted Members' enjoyment of amenities, and thanks Members for their understanding as public health officials direct California's reopening.
The schedule for all four pools is as follows:
6:00 – 10:00 AM Lap Swim (age 14 and older)
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Recreational Swim
7:00 – 10:00 PM Lap Swim (age 14 and older)
In compliance with governmental restrictions relating to capacity, social distancing and gathering, the following measures are taken:
Pool facility attendance is restricted to 50% capacity or approximately 100 people per pool facility at any one time
Reservations are required for lap swim and recreational swim to regulate capacity
Lap swim is limited to 55 minute sessions on the hour. The 5 minutes between sessions will be used for disinfecting
Recreation Swim is limited to 1 hour 50 minute sessions every two hours. The 10 minutes between sessions will be used for disinfecting. Session times are as follows:
Wader pools will not be accessible during this time
Please arrive no earlier than five (5) minutes prior to your reservation. At the end of the reservation period (regardless of late arrival), all occupants will be immediately escorted to the exit so that staff may perform necessary disinfectant services.
Members may make reservations by visiting SAMLARC.org/pools. Reservations can be made for one reservation per day, up to 7 days in advance as availability allows. When registering on SAMLARC.org, you will be required to provide your name, contact information, number of people attending with you and their names. Additionally, you will be required to sign a waiver of release. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an email confirmation which will be verified prior to entering the facility.

Occupants must observe safe social distancing from individuals who do not reside in the same household. Do not share items or enter the designated spaces of other parties.
At this time, all pool facility occupants must be SAMLARC Members. Your SAMLARC Gate Access Card will be required and confirmed upon check-in.
Limited seating will be available during recreational swim periods. Lap swimmers will have access to one (1) chair at the end of their respective lanes.
Please adhere to CDC guidelines and do not come to the pools if you:
Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19
Have you are experiencing any of the symptoms
Have traveled internationally within the last 14 days
Have been in close contact (within 6 feet/2 meters) with someone confirmed with COVID-19
Beach Club Lagoon Closed:
Though classified as a Pool, the Beach Club Lagoon requires separate inspection by the County of Orange. It is anticipated that the Lagoon may open as soon as July, pending County inspection approval. Due to the Lagoon's unique capacity and structure, the facility will implement separate reopening measures than those of the pools. Updates will be published at SAMLARC.org as they become available.
The SAMLARC Board of Directors appreciates the flexibility and thoughtfulness of the Membership during this time.
