SAMLARC COVID-19 Update: Overview & Board Action

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our world and all facets of life. The SAMLARC Board of Directors and Board Executive Committee are committed to protecting public health and slowing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the SAMLARC community. FirstService Residential, SAMLARC’s Management Company, is closely monitoring the latest information from public health officials to assist the Board of Directors in determining appropriate actions for the community’s activities, administrative operations, and facilities.

The following provides a summarized list of actions taken by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The actions taken are consistent with the recommendations and requirements from the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, White House, County of Orange, and the California Governor’s Office. These measures will be evaluated as needed, as the Coronavirus situation evolves and subsides.

SAMLARC Park Facilities

While certain SAMLARC Parks remain open, the following facilities within the parks are closed or have restricted use. Please adhere to social distancing requirements when using the parks. No gatherings. The status of SAMLARC Park Facilities are as follows:

  • Beach Club Restrooms, Fiesta Room, Conference Room and Gate Access – Closed

  • Children’s Playgrounds and Equipment at all Parks – Closed

  • Fitness Stations at the Lakeshore – Closed

  • Swimming Pools at all Parks – Closed

  • Picnic Shelters at all Parks – Closed

  • Cañada Vista Park – All park facilities including ball fields, grass area, parking lot, dog park, and skate park are closed

  • Lakeshore – Open. Use at your own risk. Comply with social distancing requirements

  • Basketball Courts and Volleyball Courts – Group play is prohibited. Comply with social distancing requirements.

  • Ball Fields – Group activity is prohibited. Comply with social distancing requirements

  • Park Grass Areas and Sidewalks – Open. Group gathering is prohibited. Comply with social distancing requirements

  • Trails – Open

SAMLARC Events and Activities

Consistent with the California Department of Public Health “Gathering Guidelines," SAMLARC events, classes, workshops, clubs and all other activities will not be held in April.

SAMLARC Administrative Operations

  • Board Meetings will be conducted virtually and Open Session will be available to the Membership virtually. To prevent social gathering, Members will not be allowed to physically attend

  • Property violations will not be issued and existing violations will be placed on monitor status

  • The SAMLARC Business Office and Beach Club Office are closed to visitors. However, the Business Office and Beach Club Office are operating

While providing high-quality activities, amenities, and services is a high priority for the Board of Directors, protecting Members and their families during this time is of the utmost importance.
