The Board of Directors values the community’s appreciation for healthy lifestyles and time spent outdoors. As California and Orange County navigate the Governor’s 4-stage “Road to Resilience,” the Board and Executive Committee are working to ensure that the community’s amenities can safely begin to re-open when government requirements permit. The SAMLARC Executive Committee, chartered to direct SAMLARC operations pertaining to COVID-19 response measures, met on May 14, 2020 to discuss potential re-opening plans for the SAMLARC amenities. The Committee provided Administrative Direction to Management to draft a re-opening plan for the SAMLARC tennis courts, with modifications to support public health guidelines and comply with government requirements.
The Tennis and Pickleball Court Re-Opening Plan is anticipated to be enacted by May 23, 2020.
At this time, the drafted re-opening plan includes the following measures, which may be revised as government requirements develop:
Courts will be available by reservation only
Court hours are Sunday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The courts may be used for singles play only
Limited facility access: Eight (8) tennis courts and two (2) pickleball courts in total will be available for reserved use at Altisima, Arroyo Vista, and Trabuco Mesa parks.
Safety measures: All activity must be aligned with federal social distancing and safety measures
Reservations: Court reservations may be made through the SAMLARC Life mobile app or by calling the Beach Club at (949) 858-1390
To prepare for the tennis courts’ re-opening, SAMLARC strongly encourages Members to download the SAMLARC Life mobile app. Please note that your SAMLARC membership must be verified before making a reservation through the app. In addition to facilitating tennis court reservations, the app provides information on virtual events, activities, and community news – a valuable resource for staying in tune with SAMLARC’s unique lifestyle experience.
The SAMLARC Board of Directors appreciates the flexibility and thoughtfulness of the Membership during this time.
