The Orange County Fire Authority is battling a structure fire in the Santiago/Silverado Canyon area which began at 10:13 p.m. on Wednesday, 12/2/2020. Rancho Santa Margarita is not currently at risk of fire spread; however, community members should exercise caution as weather conditions change.

Southern California Edison has marked portions of the SAMLARC community as well as Dove Canyon/Robinson Ranch, and Trabuco Canyon as areas under consideration for Public Safety Power Shutoff (proactive and temporary elimination of power to prevent the electric system from becoming the source of an ignition.)
