The SAMLARC Board of Directors is excited to announce that the Lago Santa Margarita Beach Club Lagoon will open on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 for Members’ enjoyment. In order to support social distancing and sanitation protocols, the Lagoon’s operations will be modified. These modifications are to be observed in addition to the standard Lagoon/Pool rules. The Board is closely monitoring developments from the government to provide as much access to the SAMLARC facilities as is feasible, safe, and permitted.
Key modifications are as follows, and intended to be observed in addition to the standard Lagoon/Pool rules:
Capacity: The Lagoon’s capacity will be reduced to 300 people at any time. Entry will be first come, first served. The live occupancy status will be posted at SAMLARC.org/beach-club-lagoon
Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily, with mandatory safety breaks at the top of each hour.
Entry/Exit: No in and out privileges.
Members may bring up to five (5) people per household.
Waivers: Waivers must be signed prior to entry. The waiver can be downloaded from SAMLARC.org to print and present at entry. Physical waivers will be available at the facility; however, pre-printed copies are encouraged to reduce contact.
Facility Modifications: Limited, grouped seating is available and is placed to support social distancing. Do not rearrange furniture. Umbrellas are permitted on the sand areas within designated groupings.
Watercraft and surrey bike rentals are not available.
The Board understands that the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing government intervention has impacted the normal summer traditions that many SAMLARC Members enjoy. Thank you for your partnership and flexibility as we travel California’s Resilience Roadmap together.
